Anna is responsible for all aspects of organizational safety including the develpoment, implementation, and administration of safety-related policies, practices, and strategies to increase workplace safety and to identify and mitigate risks.
Biography
Anna Belote is the Senior Director of Risk Management and Safety. She is responsible for directing a
cross-functional team of laboratory and operational safety professionals who provide regulatory
compliance readiness, environmental health and safety training and education and workforce injury
management initiatives.
Prior to working in higher education, Anna worked in the healthcare field for over 20 years. Most
notably she served as the Director of Safety and Emergency Preparedness for Parkview Health, which is
the largest employer in Northeast Indiana. She holds a Master’s Degree in business administration and
healthcare management and is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. A lifelong learner and teacher, Anna was
co-facilitator of a national consortium of healthcare and hospital entities focused on improving
workforce injury prevention strategies.
She is a graduate of Leadership Fort Wayne and the Parkview Health Management System programs.
Anna has served as the president of the Anthony Wayne Chapter of the American Society of Safety
Professionals and was on the board of directors for the Greater Fort Wayne Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce. She also served for 4 years as a co-chair for the Northeast Indiana YWCA’s largest fundraiser,
the YWCA Circle Event, which promotes awareness and raises funds that support domestic violence
programs. She is currently on the Indiana Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society.
